In occasion of the exhibition “Manus x Machina: fashion in an Age of Technology”, which is taking place at The Met – Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (from 5th May to 14th August 2016), one of the dresses created by Ricamificio Paolo Italy for Louis Vuitton, has been selected, along with 170 ensembles, to represent the theme of the exhibition : the progress in technology to serve the fashion world. Today, in fact, the garments proposed by the most influent brands of Ready-to-Wear, are more and more including innovative tecniques such as 3D printing, ultrasonic welding, technological research on fabrics and laser cut, the tecnique used to finish this dress with a vintage aspect but the modern shape. A great pride for Ricamificio Paolo Italy to see one of it’s creation among other special and valued gowns, dated from the 19th Century to the present.
